TRAINING:

All of our Guided Tours include mandatory training (in addition to tour times) and we provide helmets. Your safety and enjoyment is our first concern.

RESERVATIONS MADE WITH 24 HOURS OF SELECTED TOUR DATE:

Please call 207.619.7610 to confirm reservation.

All tours begin and end at our location 25 Pearl Street, Portland, ME 04101. (Across the street, directly up from the historic Custom House).

PARKING:

Parking is not available at our facility. However, the City of Portland has several parking garages and lots within walking distance. Metered parking is available on a two-hour limit.

Please be on time! Late arrivals may result in shortened tours.

Cancellation & Refund Policies:

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Weather cancellations:
In the event that a tour needs to be cancelled for weather considerations, Segway Tours of Portland will make every effort to contact you with advance notice of cancellation. Segway Tours of Portland reserves the right to cancel up to the commencement time of the tour.

Discretionary:
If Segway Tours of Portland deems a rider cannot safely operate the Segway PT, a full refund will be provided to that rider and members of their party who choose to cancel as a result.

Refund Options: Should a cancellation occur due to weather or discretionary considerations, you may:
Be allowed to reschedule or receive a refund .

Training will be completed by each rider prior to taking part in the tour. Any time lost due to late arrivals will be deducted from the tour time. Segway Tours of Portland reserves the right to refuse service to any Rider that is late and is not able to receive mandatory training.

Please read the following information completely as it outlines your Requirements and Responsibilities as a Segway Authorized Guided TOUR RIDER.

To participate in our Segway Authorized Guided Tours, Tour Riders:

Must be at least 14 years of age
Riders under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian on the tour who co-signs the Contract and Release Agreement

All Tour Riders:

Minimum weight of 100lbs
Maximum weight 260lbs
No pregnant women
Will be required to wear a helmet
Use of cell phone, texting and MP3 players will not be allowed
No smoking, No alcohol

Segway Tours of Portland suggests the following for your comfort and enjoyment:

Wear proper attire no high heels, no bare feet, no flip flops
Comfortable shoes
No scarves or such clothing that may impede your safety while using the Segway PT
No shoulder bags (purses, etc) will be permitted, only across the body straps (messenger style)
Dress weather appropriate, including sunscreen and/or gloves in chilly weather
Hats and baseball caps will have to be removed as all riders are required to wear provided helmets

Use the following guidelines to determine whether you will be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to operate a Segway PT safely:

Must be able to step on and off the Segway without assistance, which has an 8 inch step height and which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without the support of a handrail or other walking aid
Must be able to stand for designated periods of time, taking into consideration the duration of the tour you are selecting

Segway Tours of Portland reserves the right to refuse service to any rider we feel unable to safely operate the Segway PT.

We collect information from you when you register on our site as you may be asked to enter your name, email address and payment information. Your information is used to process the transactions you are requesting from us. Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by you, the customer. The email address you provide for order processing may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. Changes to this privacy policy will be posted on this page.
